Gabriel Carucci shortlisted for Saatchi Gallery / Sunday Telegraph Art Prize for Schools

This IB painting by recent St George's graduate Gabriel Carucci has been shortlisted for the Saatchi Gallery / Sunday Telegraph Art Prize for Schools, sponsored by Deutsche Bank.The work,  entitled  'Forms of Knowledge' was one of the key exhibits in his 2012 IB Visual Arts Exhibition. It explores aspects of his childhood in Ethiopia and Italy.

The organizers sent us the following information:

This year’s judging panel was the artist Martin Maloney, the illustrator, Axel Scheffler, Alistair Hicks, Deutsche Bank art advisor and curator, Alastair Smart, arts editor of The Sunday Telegraph, and Rebecca Wilson, director, Saatchi Gallery.


The competition received over 13,000 entries from over 22 countries internationally and the standard was particularly high this year.


The Saatchi Gallery will hold an exhibition of the 20 shortlisted works in April 2013, there will be an opening night where the winner will be announced. Please keep checking our website for dates.
